If you are a regular student and not using the Studentische Nutzerkennung (e.g. you’ve had your account already before 2009) you need to transfer your old account into one that is using the Studentische Nutzerkennung.

All others can request a new password themselves via the Stud.IP main page. Please enter the e-mail address you use in Stud.IP into the respective form. An e-mail with a confirmation link will be sent to this address and if you click on the link you can request a new password.

Lecturers using their GWDG-ID in Stud.IP will need to request a new password directly from the GWDG support.
